Basic Video Production Action Sequence 2024

BASIC TV/Video Production Instructions

You will be editing an action sequence. 

Video must be between 1 and 2 minutes in length. Any shorter than 1 minute or any longer than 2 minutes will be counted against you. 

1. Open up a file explorer (You can use the hotkeys Windows + E)

• Navigate to: \\hercules\TechFairVideoProduction
• Copy the folder "Action_Sequence" into a folder on your C drive

2. Using Adobe Premiere Rush or Adobe Premiere Pro (or Davinci Resolve, etc), import your footage, including any audio files you might want to use. (You can use any editor you want as long as the footage imports and edits. The footage has been tested in Premiere Pro & Premiere Rush)

3. Cut the scene using the footage provided. 

• You will need to cut the video appropriately, using whatever techniques you wish to make the video feel seamless. 

4. Edit must tell the entire story of the action sequence. 
5. You must add intro & outro titles

• For the Intro titles, you will come up with a movie name, for example: "The Escape"
• For the Outro titles, you will put up credits: 

"Edited for Techparty by (your name), February 15th, 2024"

6. Render the video into h.264 format. ***Be sure to include time for rendering*** 

7. Upload the video file to Moodle. File size must be under 2gb 

8. ****IMPORTANT***** name your filename your first & last name, so the judges know who you are! 

****IMPORTANT***** Make sure to test your video playback in windows after you render & before you upload. 

Judges give points for following the prompt, creativity, and skill.
