Company Description: Pastry Perfection is a Boise-based bakery that offers a wide range of various pastries, including donuts, cakes, cookies, and more. 

It is important to see their current brand identity and design, which is why you will navigate their current website as a reference at pastryperfection.com to help you with the instructions below.

Your task is to redesign an aesthetic logo and brand identity that represents their pride in making the freshest, best-quality foods while providing excellent customer service.

Task List: You will create:

1. A basic logo design.

2. A new landing page mockup for their website.

3. A mockup of their main building’s entrance sign.

4. 1 Social media advertisements.

For your official logo redesign, you should focus on the key elements of what makes a good logo, which may include key identifiers, color psychology, balancing, and appropriateness about the company’s target market.

Below are the specifications you will adhere to when presenting your final logo design:

1. You have two options for a primary logo design. You can:

1. Create a logo as an emblem or symbol (which is most likely what you are used to making)

2. Create a logotype, or simply Pastry Perfection written out. If you choose this option, you must modify the text to have a key identifier somewhere.

How to format your Part 1 entry is shown in detail below (read EVERY step before starting!)

1. The paper’s dimensions should be 8.5 x 11in. Title it “Logo Design” in Arial, 12 pt font at the top.

2. You will have two main logo versions for the final entry, including the basic logo icon and another with “Pastry Perfection” somewhere next to the same logo icon. An example is on the back of this page.

3. Your logo + logotype will have 3 versions presented: The first being fully colored (your final logo cannot just be black and white), the second only using one color besides black or white, and the final being only black and white. If you only use one color, you only need to present two different versions.

4. Finally, list all colors’ RGB and CMYK hex codes on the page.

Part 2: Website Landing Page

The landing page for the new website should be straightforward and guiding to give customers a good first impression and increase the amount of time spent on the website per viewer. A clear and concise landing page can mean the difference between getting new customers to purchase your products/services. Your job is to map the company’s new website landing page in Adobe Illustrator or XD.

Below are the specifications you will adhere to when presenting your final website landing page mockup (read EVERY step before starting!)

1. Your artboard should be 1920 x 1080px, 72ppi, and RGB.

2. Insert the logotype anywhere at the top left of the site (you should have a logotype regardless of which option you picked in Part 1).

3. Incorporate a high-quality image of pastries, cakes, or donuts somewhere on the page.

4. Provide listed links somewhere visible on the page in an orderly fashion:

1. Home

2. Donuts, Pastries & Sweets (you may shorten this down to ‘Pastries’ if you like)

3. Cakes

4. Breads & More

5. Order Online

6. Delivery

7. Contact Us

5. Make the company slogan “When you want bakery!” bold and visible, contributing to the main call to action on the page.

6. List the building’s location, phone number, and contact somewhere either at the top or the bottom of the page.

Part 3: Billboard Mockup

Pastry Perfection wants to map an advertisement on a billboard to hopefully capture the attention of residents who may not use social media as much as others. Your job is to first create a billboard advertisement in Adobe Illustrator and then composite it on the provided billboard template in Photoshop.

Below are the specifications you will adhere to when presenting your final billboard mockup (read EVERY step before starting!)

1. Your artboard should be 6.375 x 3.375in, 300ppi, and CMYK.

2. The focus of the billboard should be on the slogan, “When you want bakery!” Make sure this slogan is at the forefront of the design.

3. Incorporate your logotype somewhere on the page.

Social media ads can be very effective at giving first impressions and attractive offers. Posting actively across social media platforms can make your business known to thousands and thousands of potential customers. Your job for this part of the project is to create one social media advertisement directed toward getting viewers interested in Pastry Perfection’s products.

Make sure to keep the advertisements in line with the company’s brand identity design-wise to keep the company’s image professional and consistent.

Below are the steps to follow for your social media ad (read EVERY step before starting!):

1. Use an image of any of their products from their website as the main focus. You can edit the image you choose in any way you like.

2. Incorporate your logotype anywhere on the page; Make it small, but noticeable.

3. Incorporate the slogan “When you want bakery!” as the main text for the ad.

4. Make sure to list their phone number and address somewhere on the ad.
