How do you earn points?

• Attending & participating at weekly STOR meetings (Wednesdays during lunch)
• Volunteering on committees for projects
• Community service events after all community service hours have been completed
• Working at tech parties and other fundraiser events
• Practicing for local, state, and national contests
  
  

What do points do?

STOR Points are converted into money and can be used for the following fees:

• Conference Registration Fees (Regional, State, National) - SkillsUSA
• Competition Fees - Mobile Robotics & eSports
• MTCHS Dragons T-Shirt
• NTHS Membership Fee (if nominated)
• Tech Party Ticket Discount (if purchased online prior to 12:00 PM on day of Tech Party)
• Next year's STOR Membership
  
  

End of the year point options

As points do not carry over to the next year, there are a few options for remaining points. These options include:

• Paying for next year's STOR Membership - $11.00
• Pre-ordering next year's Dragons T-Shirt - $15.09 (must have a minimum of $15.09)
• Donating your remaining point money to someone attending the SkillsUSA National Conference - Must list the person's name with the designated amount

Officer Information

How does one become an officer of STOR?

To become an officer of STOR, you will need to nominate yourself for an officer position during one of the final meetings of the year (the date will be announced during a meeting). All directions regarding nomination will be stated during the meeting. 

If you are elected into an officer position, you must commit to &/or understand the following:

• Be an MTCHS STOR Member
• To earn meeting points, attend & arrive on time to weekly officer AND member meetings. If not attending, you will earn 0 points
• Plan the SkillsUSA Program of Work (events, meetings, etc.) with officer team
• Willing to fulfill the duties of the office by completing the duties before deadlines
• Communicated in a timely manner with advisors about schedule conflicts, as well as ideas for improvement
• Follow through on completing assigned tasks
• Attend and participate in Fall Leadership Conference in September or October
• Compete in at least one contest at State Leadership and Skills Conference
• Positively promote SkillsUSA to the student body and community
• Plan, participate and attend the tech parties, other fundraisers, and events
• If offered the MTCHS SkillsUSA Presidency, you may not be president of any other MTCHS student organizations
• If the duties of the office are not fulfilled, you will be told to vacate the office - any officer point money given to you will be deducted from your STOR member account

What do officers do?

Each STOR officer has a different set of responsibilities, but these jobs are not all set in stone and some officers will be needed for jobs that are not assigned to them originally.
